The Settings section in ExtendSync for Outlook allows you to customize the app based on your preferences and workflow.
From controlling how records are fetched and displayed to managing themes, attachments, and Autopilot behavior. ExtendSync puts flexibility in your hands.
You can access all configuration options in the Settings pane inside the ExtendSync app.

Click Menu → Settings from the app’s sidebar.

Core Settings
Ignore sign-in user records
When enabled, ExtendSync ignores the logged-in NetSuite user’s own email address when fetching contextual records.
Default: Off
How to enable:
Go to Menu → Settings.
Toggle Ignore sign-in user records to ON.
Skip Welcome Screen
Automatically skips the welcome screen and initiates a NetSuite record search each time the app loads.
Default: Off
When enabled: ExtendSync starts searching for matching records immediately.
Two ways to enable:
Option 1 (Settings):
Go to Menu → Settings.
Toggle Skip Welcome Screen to ON.
Option 2 (Welcome Screen):
Select the checkbox Always show suggested related records when prompted on the welcome screen.
Subject Inspection
Scans the email subject line for any 4-digit (or higher) numbers and automatically fetches matching transaction records.
Default: On
Include Dependent Records
When enabled this will fetch 25 records in each category like entities, transactions, or activities. Reducing the time taken to load the available records in the ExtendSync panel.
Configure Records Filter
Allows users to define filters for what record types appear under Suggested Records.
Once configured, only those filtered record types will be displayed in ExtendSync.
File Attachment Preferences
Customize how file attachments and inline images are handled when saving emails to NetSuite.
Choose whether attachments or images are included by default.
Advanced Options
Include names in suggestions
Once enabled, the Available Records section will show records with the match name of the sender even though the email wouldn't match. This is turned off by default.
Email Body Inspection
When enabled will scan your email body and look for numbers that are transaction ids and have 3 or more digits and fetch related transaction records and show them in Available records.
Include old app associations
For email was previously associated via One-Time, it will be tagged as This email is not associated with any Records initially.
Disable Categories
ExtendSync category will not be applied to your emails if this is enabled. By default, this feature would be turned off.
Autopilot
Autopilot Status
From the Settings → Autopilot section, users can view which Autopilot features are currently enabled for their account (Email Autopilot, Thread Autopilot, Event Autopilot, etc.).
Attachments for Autopilot
When enabled, ExtendSync automatically includes email attachments when using Email Autopilot.
This allows you to automate email threads or addresses including files without manual uploads.

Email Autopilot Associations
View and manage Email Address-Based Autopilot directly from Settings.
You can turn Autopilot on or off for specific addresses.
Personalization
Choose Theme
Customize the look of your ExtendSync app.
Available options:
Dark Mode
Light Mode
System Mode: Automatically follows your Outlook theme setting.
💡 Example: If your Outlook theme is set to Dark Mode, ExtendSync will automatically match it.
Layout View
Choose your preferred layout for the ExtendSync interface:
Default View — Standard layout with full spacing and visibility.
Compact View — Condensed layout for smaller screens or faster navigation.
