In most cases, no. Your ExtendInsights sign-in and license remain active after an add-in update.
You may be prompted to sign in again if:
The Office add-in cache was cleared.
Your sign-in session has expired.
Your organization requires reauthentication through Microsoft 365 or Single Sign-On (SSO).
If You're Prompted to Sign In
Sign in using your usual ExtendInsights account.
Verify you're using the correct work email address.
If your organization uses SSO, sign in with your Microsoft 365 work account.
Restart Excel if prompted.
License Error After Signing In?
If you receive a license-related error, contact CloudExtend Support and include:
Your work email address
Your company or Microsoft 365 tenant name
A screenshot of the error
Whether the issue affects only you or multiple users
Verification
The issue is resolved when you can sign in successfully, and the ExtendInsights add-in opens without license errors.
