Before you can use ExtendInsights with Salesforce, you must create a Salesforce connection.
Prerequisite (Salesforce Administrator)
A Salesforce Administrator must complete the one-time package installation before users can connect.

This installation only needs to be completed once per Salesforce organization.
Create a Salesforce Connection
To connect ExtendInsights to Salesforce, follow the steps below or view the video.
Before you can download or manage Salesforce data, you must create a template. During this process, you'll create your first Salesforce connection.
Open ExtendInsights.
Select Salesforce from the list of data sources.
Choose one of the following:
Create a New Template to build a template from scratch.
Load an Existing Template to reuse a previously saved or pre-built template.
Click Connect to Salesforce.
Enter a Connection Name.
Select the appropriate environment:
Production
Sandbox
Click Authorize.
Sign in with your Salesforce credentials and complete the authorization process.
Once authentication is complete, your Salesforce connection is ready to use.

Verification
Your connection is configured successfully when:
Salesforce appears as the active connection in ExtendInsights.
You can create or open Salesforce templates.
Salesforce objects are available for download and data management.
