FAQ: Calendar Autopilot Frequently Asked Questions

ExtendSync Google | Common questions about Calendar Autopilot

This article answers common questions for organizations deploying Calendar Autopilot.

🔵 If my organization purchases Calendar Autopilot only, do users need the ExtendSync Google extension to be installed?

No.

Calendar Sync runs independently of the ExtenSync Google Chrome extension.

Once a CloudExtend administrator completes the Calendar Sync configuration in the CloudExtend Wizard, calendar synchronization runs in the background. End users do not need the ExtendSync Google add-in installed or deployed to their mailboxes.

🔵 Do end users need to log in or perform any setup?

No.

Calendar Sync is configured entirely by a CloudExtend administrator.

After the administrator authorizes Google access through the CloudExtend wizard, no additional setup is required by end users.

🔵 Will users be prompted to sign in again if their NetSuite password changes or expires?

No, under normal operation.

Calendar Sync does not rely on an individual user's ExtendSync connection or require users to sign in to the ExtendSync Google extension.

Because the synchronization is managed through the CloudExtend wizard configuration and Microsoft authorization, routine user events such as password changes or token refreshes do not require end-user reauthentication.

🔵 Does Calendar Sync work with NetSuite Single Sign-On (SSO)?

Yes.

Organizations using SAML Single Sign-On can use Calendar Sync without additional end-user configuration.

Since Calendar Sync is configured centrally by an administrator, end users are not required to establish or maintain their own NetSuite connections for calendar synchronization.

🔵 Are calendar event attachments synced to NetSuite?

No.

Calendar event attachments are not synchronized to NetSuite at this time.

Only supported calendar event information is synchronized.

Known Limitations

  • Calendar event attachments do not sync to NetSuite. Only calendar event metadata (title, date, attendees, etc.) is captured. File attachments on calendar invites are not included.

  • Organizations using the full ExtendSync configuration (email + calendar) have a different setup flow and require the user to install and log in.
