To help you understand the impact ExtendSync has on your productivity, the Gmail Analytics dashboard includes a “Time Saved” metric.

This article explains exactly how that value is calculated.

⏱️ How ExtendSync Calculates Time Saved

With the analytics, we show how much time you were able to save. But how do we calculate this time saved?

ExtendSync tracks both:

  • Autopilot (AP) associations

  • Manual (One-Time) associations

Every email you attach whether it’s saved manually or via Autopilot represents time your users did not spend manually locating the record in NetSuite, opening the Messages subtab, and uploading the email.

✔ Each email association = 3 minutes saved

ExtendSync applies a flat 3-minute time-savings value to every email that is successfully stored to NetSuite.

This includes:

  • Emails saved manually

  • Emails saved through Autopilot

  • Emails saved from Inbox, Sent Items, or Compose mode

When Analytics Updates

ExtendSync runs a synchronization process every hour.

During each sync, the system:

  • Looks for all Autopilot + manual email associations

  • Increments the time-saved counter by 3 minutes per email

  • Updates the chart showing your total saved emails and average weekly usage

This provides a reliable and consistent way to understand how much manual work ExtendSync has removed from your day.

What You'll See in Analytics

The analytics dashboard will show:

✔ Total Emails Saved - All email associations processed by ExtendSync.

✔ Average Emails Saved per Week- A rolling average of recent usage trends.

✔ Time Saved

Calculated as:

(# of emails saved) x 3 minutes

It will also show the average number of emails getting stored to NetSuite and quantify the productivity of the ExtendSync provides across your team.
